FAQ

You’ve got questions, we have answers! If you can’t find what you are looking for below, please contact us via the enquiry form on our Contact Us page.

I am a vegan/vegetarian/have allergies. Are there options available to me?

YES! We make every effort to accommodate people from all walks of life, with any special dietary restrictions.

Can’t eat pork? No worries! Tummy doesn’t like gluten? Not a problem! Don’t eat furry critters? That’s cool!

Our incredible venues will make something special just for you so that you can enjoy yourself and leave the tour just as full as your friends!

Can I just show up, or do I need to make a booking?

Sorry, but bookings are absolutely essential.

Part of the reason we can go to such great venues is because we let them know who’s coming in advance so they can prepare for our arrival. Our tour guides also don’t have the capacity to receive payments. All transactions must be done online in our secure booking engine.

I use a mobility scooter or wheelchair, can I still come on the tour?

Absolutely!

Please just make sure that you contact us before booking though. This way we can ensure we visit accessible venues, and that the tables at each venue are set appropriately.

Eat The Street is for everyone, so please come and join the fun!

I booked on a day that I can no longer attend on. Can I get a refund?

Depending on how soon your scheduled tour is, yes.

We offer a full refund on all tours as long as we are notified at least two weeks prior to the original scheduled date. After that, we offer partial refunds or offer credit to be used on another tour.

Any cancellation within 48 hours of the tour start time will not receive a credit or a refund.

How do the gift certificates work?

To purchase a gift voucher simply select ‘Gift Vouchers’ from the top menu on any page. This will open a checkout window where you can purchase
as many vouchers as you like.

Gift vouchers can be customised, just get in touch through the contact us page and we can design a custom voucher to make your gift extra special.

To redeem a gift voucher, guests just need to initiate the booking process like normal and enter their voucher code into the checkout. If you encounter any trouble with purchasing or redeeming vouchers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

I am only planning to have one drink so would like to drive. Where should I park?

There is a wide selection of parking available both free and paid.

The week of your tour, we will shoot through a reminder email which will have instructions on where to park that include maps.

Still not sure? Give your tour guide a call! Their mobile number is in your confirmation email.

You say rain or shine, but what about days above 40 degrees or during torrential rain?

For the safety of our guests and our guides, during extreme weather conditions the tours will be cancelled.

We will notify you at last 48 hours prior to cancelling any tours. At this point you will have the option of either a refund or to reschedule at a different date. We will also send you a special offer to help make up for the inconvenience.

Our babysitter cancelled. Can I bring the bub along in a pram?

All of our tours are 18+ and many of our venues are too small to accommodate our group and a pram. For these reasons we do ask that you make alternate arrangements. Also, even on the brunch tour we go to bars and as such cannot accommodate children.

If your son or daughter is over the age of 15 and keen to come along, please give us a call as we and the venues are able to make arrangements in these cases.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes for private tours?

Our private tours are very flexible as we are designing the tour just for you and your group. We don’t have a minimum group size, but the base cost is $450 which covers 6 guests + a $50 booking fee.

As far as a maximum group size goes, this really will be determined on the type of venues you want to visit. We are happy to host groups of 6 – 25 on our private tours. Larger groups can be accommodated by running two groups that all regather at the final venue.
